De multe ori ma inspira o bucata de lemn sau o floare, dar deseori ma apuc de pictat fara sa stiu exact ce o sa fac. Asa s-a nascut si acest inel, al carui model a curs firesc, s-a creat parca ghidand singur pirogravorul. Simetria e in acelasi timp medaitatie si magie si rezultatul ma uimeste de fiecare data:)
EN: Usually I am inspired by a piece of wood or a flower, but sometimes I start painting without knowing for sure what I'll create. This is how this ring was born: it's design was flowing naturally, created by itself, guiding the wood burning tool. Symmetry is at the same time meditation and magic and the result is always amazing:)

Acum o saptamana, la mare fiind, intr-o micuta biblioteca de pe plaja, am dat peste cartea aceasta, "O lume secreta, mari spioane din secolul al XX-lea", scrisa de Vladimir Fedorovski, a carei coperta promitea mult. De multe ori, cand am chef sa citesc ceva, dar nu am habar ce si intru intr-o librarie, cel mai bun criteriu pe care il aplic este coperta: daca ma atrage, rasfoiesc putin cartea si ma conving daca merita sa o aprofundez. Ei bine, cartea aceasta mi-a lasat o impresie placuta si acum, dupa cateva pagini, sunt perfect satisfacuta de alegere: un mix de istorie, poveste, eroine iesite din comun, puternice, care au avut in maini soarta altor oameni si chiar a unor state, cu vieti active si o inteligenta iesita din comun. O lectura usoara, nu prea incarcata de date, mai degraba accentul pus pe intamplari si portrete. Savuros!

EN: A week ago, while being at the seaside, I've entered a small library and found this book, "A secret world, great women-spies of the XXth century", written by Vladimir Fedorovski, which had a promising cover. Oftenly, when I feel like reading something, but I'm not sure what, if I enter a bookstore, my best criteria is the cover: if it's appealing, I study a bit the inside of the book and easily decide to buy it or not.Well, this book is very promising: a mixture of history and story-telling, powerful women who manipulated man and both their destinies and even those of entire countries, with active lives and highly intelligent minds. An easy reading, not so many historical data, but mainly portraits and events.

Busy Bee

 Mereu e o mare bucurie cand cliente sau clienti "de-ai casei" imi scriu pentru a crea ceva ce ei sa poarte la un eveniment deosebit. Asa s-a nascut setul acesta, care a fost asortat la rochia de banchet a unei domnisoare speciale si extrem de frumoasa. Rochita era alba, cu flori colorate la baze si perlute albe brodate. M-am gandit ca s-ar potrivi ceva complementar si, in loc sa reiau modelul de pe tesatura, l-am integrat intr-o poveste. Si ce s-ar fi potrivit mai bine cu florile, in acest sezon, decat albinute harnice care culeg polen?
EN: It's always a great thrill when the usual clients write me to create for them something to wear at a special occasion. That's how this set was born, which complemented the prom dress of a very beautiful and special young lady. The white dress she wore had a pearls embroidery and painted flowers at the bottom. I decided to create a story and what else could go with flowers this season, if not the hard working bees which pick up pollen?

 Am hotarat sa exploram orasul Suceava profitand de distanta mica pana acolo si bine am facut! De data aceasta am ales Cetatea de Scaun a Sucevei si Muzeul Satului Bucovinean, doua locuri superbe, dar nu singurele din acest oras.
EN: We decided to explore the city of Suceava and one of the reasons was the small distance to there. We chose the Suceava stronghold and the Museum of Bucovina Village, just two of the beautiful places to visit in this special city.

 Cetatea a fost construita de Petru I Musat, fortificata de Stefan cel Mare si distrusa de Dumitrascu Cantacuzino. Acum a fost refacuta si oate fi vizitata, inclusiv interiorul. Si merita, atat pentru senzatia unica pe care ti-o dau zidurile groase de piatra, dar si pentru panorama incredibila asupra orasului si a imprejurimilor.
EN: The castle was built by Petru I Musat, fortified by Stefan cel Mare and destroyed by Dumitrascu Cantacuzino. Now it can be visited, while it has been rebuilt. And it is well worth it, both for the unique feeling given by the thick walls, but also for the incredible view over the city and it's surroundings.

 E interesant sa intri prin toate incaperile, sa urmezi constructia labirintica prin tot felul de cotloane si beciuri intunecoase. Oare cum trebuie sa fi fost viata acelor oameni, cum aratau interioarele locuite, cum se simteau inconjurati de ziduri groase de 1 metru?
EN: It's so interesting to enter all the rooms, to follow the labyrinth through all sorts of corners and dark dungeons. I wonder how life used to be for those people, how the inside of the rooms looked like, what were they feeling surrounded by 1 m thick walls?

 In muzeu ne-am minunat de tot soiul de piese facute manual, parte din gospodariile traditionale: o usa de soba, cu un cocos stilizat din fier...

O vizita la muzeul acesta te duce inapoi in timp si te cam pune pe ganduri: judecand dupa toate obiectele de fiecare zi, fiecare frumos pictat sau sculptat (de la blidele in care oamenii mancau de obicei, la mesele cu picioare sculptate sau grinzile care infrumuseteaza casa, la covoarele colorate si hainele cusute de mana cu motive complexe), iti dai seama ca oamenii aveau Timpul de partea lor, isi duceau zilele pe indelete, in ritmul naturii si aveau o indemanare pe care noi ne-am pierdut-o. Deci...cine e mai evoluat?
EN: A visit at this museum takes you back in time and feeds your thoughts: judging by all the every day objects, each beautifully painted or carved (from the plates in which people usually ate, to the tables with carved feet or the beams that decorate the entrance in the house, to the colorful hand woven carpets and the clothes hand sewn with complex designs), you realize that those people had Time on their side, they lived their life enjoying every day and had so many skills that we've lost today. So...who is more evolved?

Hour

Asadar, Primavara! Cu numele, cel putin si data din calendar, pentru ca ninsoarea de azi-noapte a tradat Iarna incapatanata. Se pare ca si acum multi ani (peste 25:)), tot viscol era si frig. Asta-i povestea mamei despre ziua in care m-am nascut. Eu nu stiu, dar stiu ca de cand imi aduc aminte, inceputurile de martie au fost senine. cu bucurie si calde. De ziua mea m-am incarcat mereu cu energie si lumina de la natura care invie. Asa ca primaverile sunt preferatele mele, mai mult decat verile sau toamnele.

Cu putin inainte de primavara oficiala, cand inca era frig, frig, a aparut in curtea noastra noua, un sufletel torcator. Ne tot gandeam noi ca am vrea sa avem un motan si asteptam momentul potrivit. Pare-se ca de pisica aveam nevoie si a venit singura:) In prima saptamana aparea la usa in jurul orei 11:00, intra in casa, fara teama, de parca de aici plecase si acum s-a intors. Foarte lipiciooasa, flamanda tare, ne-am imprietenit usor.

I-am pus numele Ora, tocmai pentru ca venea la ora fixa si acum si-a cam mutat domiciliul inauntru. Serile motaie pe canapeaua din bucatarie si la geam razbat "serenade" motanesti ale unui iubit amorezat si dornic, iar ea, ca o printesa neinduplecata, se tolaneste si toarce.

EN: So, they say it's Spring. It might be, but yesterday's evening snow proves that Winter here is very stubborn. I am born at the beginning of spring, so this is my favorite time. I simply love the energy and light of Nature coming to life!
Not long ago, when it was still cold, cold, in our yard we had a visitor, a furry and purry one. We were talking about wishing a cat, a male one, that is, but it seems that we actually needed a she kitty:) She appeared from nowhere and seemed to be very familiar with us, the house, a beautiful soul in search for a home. For one week she came every day, at the same time, for food and caresses, so we named her Ora (meaning "Hour":). Now she stays inside and she acts like she was always here. In the evenings she sleeps on the couch, in the kitchen and outside we can hear a tomcat "singing" for her, very in love and sad. She couldn't care less:))
It's funny how things happen when you allow them to:D
